Audrey Hepburn Makeup Secrets For A Million Dollar Look

Do you want to dress up like your favorite 50s actress this Halloween? Thinking of interesting yet easy ideas to glam up your face just like Miss Hepburn did a few decades ago? If the answer to these questions is a yes, then you have to try our personal Audrey Hepburn Makeup tutorial. It takes up very little time and promises excellent results.
Keep reading the post to learn more!

Use Makeup Base:

Audrey Hepburn enjoyed looking fresh, clear and very dewy. The secret behind her flawless and beautiful skin was not the usual makeup primer, but an excellent makeup base. The whole purpose of this is to make your skin look naturally radiant and flawless. So, choose something that will give you great coverage. A decent “no makeup liquid foundation” would be a great idea. Just dab a few spots all over your face and massage using a sponge. Make sure your hands are clean.

Concealer:

Once the makeup base is ready, use a good concealer to hide all the blemishes. If you have dark circles, then this part is a must for you. A good cover up from brands like Rimmel, Lakme or Kryolan would be absolutely perfect. Use a decent brush to cover up!

Eyebrows:

To recreate eyebrows in Audrey Hepburn style is almost impossible! It is best to practice this style a couple of times before you use it finally. You must have a thick brow that is straight with a little arch. However, this is optional. If you aren’t a professional, just trim your eyebrows and focus on the rest that is much more important.

False Eyelashes:

Audrey Hepburn was best known for her beautiful and expressive eyes. The whole point is to use fake eyelashes, but not make them look very obvious. Make sure to pick individual eyelashes and supplement them with your own. You can find them at your local cosmetic store. But, it does take some time to show perfectly. Try using some luscious black mascara. Some generous coating would do you wonders.

Use Creamy Red Lipstick:

You have to be careful about the kind of lipstick you use. Our suggestion would be Lakme or Miss Claires, if you’re thinking of something affordable. Audrey loved pink lipsticks a lot. In fact, she wore them frequently. Try to brush your lips with your toothbrush to remove dead cells. Apply lip balm, line with a lip pencil, and finally a generous coating of red or deep pink lipstick.

Blush:

Since Miss Hepburn loved to keep her cheeks rosy and soft, use dark pink and apply right in the middle of the cheek section. Blend both upwards and downwards. Use a brush and draw a couple of lines and blend using your fingers in order to make your cheeks glow. If you aren’t comfortable with liquid blusher, try using powder. Your makeup should look light and tender, and not obvious or over the top.

Eyeshadow:

Use pink eyeshadow if you are stepping out during the day. Use taupe shadow for the corner. If you want a glamorous or darker look, use a darker eyeshadow and expand it a little more with some blending. That should definitely help.

Eyeliner:

A nice dark brown eyeliner would be great for starters. Start from the top line using a thin line. Start from the inside corner and push it to the outside corner. Next, you could use a black or dark brown Kohl or Kajal and simply smudge it under the bottom lashes. Don’t let bottom and top liners come close. This will make your eyes look tinier and closed – which is definitely not the purpose.
If you found the tutorial a bit difficult to understand, don’t worry at all! This makeup tutorial should definitely make things simpler for you.

Some more beauty tips from Audrey Hepburn herself:
  1. To make your lips more beautiful and appealing, speak words of kindness.
  2. Let a child run his fingers through your hair to make it even more beautiful.
  3. If you want a slimmer body, share food with those who are hungry.
  4. For more poise, walk with the knowledge in your mind that you’ll never be walking alone.
  5. Your beauty should be seen through your eyes and your heart.
  6. You are prettier when you are happier.
