The compounds present in cocoa bean husk fight against plaque and have an antibacterial effect in the mouth. Cocoa extracts can also be considered a natural replacement for fluoride. They strengthen the enamel and make it difficult for bacteria to attack the teeth.

Apart from dark chocolate, raw chocolates are another good option to fight tooth decay as they are also less processed and contain more antioxidants.
